CS X’tra Ed’s Kids Club Taekwondo

Kids Club Taekwondo Program

The Martial Arts Center is excited to offer a Taekwondo program to the students of Kids Club!  Taekwondo is the most popular martial art in the world which literarily translates to “The way of the hand and foot”.  Although Taekwondo is an Olympic sport and an ideal for self-defense, our focus at The Martial Arts Center is the personal development of each individual.  Our curriculum focuses on teaching strong character skills such as Respect, Self-Discipline, Accomplishment and Confidence!

Taekwondo helps children develop the life-skills necessary to be successful.  In addition to teaching exciting martial arts techniques we emphasize the 5 Tenants of Taekwondo: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit.

5 Reasons Every Child Should Be Enrolled in Taekwondo

Positive Attitudes: Kids in our program learn to have a positive and respectful attitude.  You won’t find yourself repeating yourself over and over, or arguing with your children like most parents.  You may even catch your child saying, “Yes Sir” or “Yes Ma’am!” on their own!

Improved Report Cards:  Our curriculum is designed to teach children the importance of focus and concentration.  Improved concentration means that your child will learn more at school and get better grades.

Taekwondo Builds Healthy Kids:  Taekwondo is a great workout!  Your child will be better at any activity because of the skills they will learn.  Children who take Taekwondo are slimmer, have a better self-image, and learn to take better care of themselves.

Self Confidence: The success kids experience through Taekwondo teaches them that they can be successful at anything if they truly believe they can and are willing to work hard.  Improved confidence leads to better grades, a better circle of friends, better performance in sports, and the skills to be a successful leader!

Self-Defense:  Taekwondo teaches two forms of self-defense.  One is physical – your child will improve their strength, flexibility, and overall health.  Additionally, your child will learn to strike with tremendous power and effectiveness.  Hopefully, your child will never be picked on or need to fight…but in a worse-case scenario, shouldn’t they know how to protect themselves?  The second form of self-defense Taekwondo teaches is internal.  Children learn to spot danger and avoid dangerous people, places, and activities.  Taekwondo can help your child avoid the need for physical confrontation.  The second form of self-defense is perhaps the more valuable of the two.
